When your building joins Fram Energy, you will receive a welcome email from us with a link to set up your Fram Energy account. This email walks you through the steps to connect your utility data and start accessing your solar savings.
What is Fram Energy?
Your building is going solar, and Fram Energy is here to share those savings with you. As a resident, you’ll receive part of your electricity from rooftop solar panels at a discounted rate compared to what you would pay your utility company. Fram Energy manages the billing for the solar energy portion of your electricity usage, making it simple and seamless for you.
For most properties, your solar charges will be posted directly to your property management portal (such as Yardi) alongside your rent—so there’s no need to manage a separate payment method or remember another due date.
What to Expect in the Setup Email
Your welcome email from Fram Energy will include:
- A personalized link to begin the account setup process.
- Step-by-step instructions for connecting your utility data (if applicable).
- Information about how solar billing works at your property.

Setting Up Your Account
The setup process is quick and easy—most residents complete it in under five minutes. Here’s what you’ll do:
- Connect Your Utility Data. To calculate your solar savings accurately, Fram Energy needs access to your utility usage data. During setup, you’ll be asked to authorize this connection by providing your utility account credentials. This secure connection allows Fram Energy to track how much electricity you’re using and determine your solar credits.

Create Your Fram Energy Account. You’ll create a Fram Energy Account where you can:
- View your monthly solar bills.
- Access your billing history.
- Review your solar energy usage.
The account gives you full transparency into your solar energy charges and savings.

Confirm Your Participation.
The final step is reviewing and confirming your enrollment. Depending on your property and lease agreement, you may need to sign a lease addendum acknowledging your participation in the solar program.
After Setup
Once you’ve completed the setup process, you’re all set! Here’s what happens next:
- Billing Begins: Fram Energy will start calculating your solar charges based on your electricity usage. Your solar bill will be posted to your property management portal each month.
- Access Your Dashboard: Log into your Fram Energy account anytime to view your bills, track savings, and manage your account.
- Enjoy Your Savings: You’ll automatically start receiving solar energy at a discounted rate—no further action is needed on your part!
